Gardening - The Before photos

Firstly , let me say that I do like gardening and growing things- I do NOT like cold wet weather though  and am definitely a fair weather gardener.
My dad put the patio down years ago  and although it needs a good scrub- I am still happy with it. Unfortunately the furniture in the garden, although treated - has rotted but has probably been there for 10 years or more.
The fence between our house and next door fell down (twice) - There is a small amount of plastic fencing up at the moment. I asked the council if it could be replaced but they said it is the responsibility of the people next door. The house has just sold - so hopefully they will  replace it for some privacy.

The plant stand I have had for about 20 years and is on its last legs. I have only just potted up the tubs. Hubby wanted to grow some sunflowers and tomatoes. We are growing some Toms by seed ( hopefully) and also bought a few plants - we will see.

A new passion flower - I did have some but they got strangled by the climbers on the back wall.

Speaking of which- OMG!! these walls were over grown with climbers!! There was a very over grown honeysuckle all along the back wall - and clematis, climbing hydrangea, Jasmin and others. Hubby was very fed up with it so took drastic action. As I type , it is already a bit tidier as he has cut everything right back- none of it is dead and it will grow back. I may take some out completely though and add more flowering plants.
I WOULD quite like some raised boarders or at least more definite boarders as that silly plastic edging is no good.

If you look closely at the right hand side of the wall, my son found some paint when he was about 10 yrs old ( he probably wanted to move) and painted "for sale" on the flippin wall- try as i can , I cannot get rid of that paint- Any ideas?
This is the side wall and the garage wall- I bought two plants years ago and just look at that clematis! It has been cut right back at least twice- at the moment it is all over the garage roof and looks stunning. again out of control and is covering up orange blossom plants. When it has finished flowering, hubby and I have decided that it is all being removed to make way for a lean to green house .

A weeded patio , awaiting a new table and chairs- and a scrub!

You can see next doors garden - no privacy.

Also next to the gate under the pant is an old coal bunker that also has to go to make way for a greenhouse.

The lawn will need to be reseeded and I have LOADS of wood chips for the Chimera in the evenings.

Well I have my work cut out for me and I need to get it done before Winter( or most of it anyway ).

I will update when it looks a bit better

Soojay xx
