Hi Honey ...I'm home

Two glorious weeks at Praa Sands. Wonderful to NOT have a list of stuff to do.
We were really lucky with the weather and only had rain on one day. I can not describe the view from the house..breathtaking. I have tried to photograph it, video it . It just doesn't come close. We saw fireworks most nights too :)
it was impossible to watch TV in the evenings, we gave up in the end as the view is just so hypnotic.
We have been twice before and at least four times to Cornwall now. So we just went to some of our favourite places. Trebah gardens,St agnes, Lands end, Perranpoth, Sennen cove, penzance, and Truro. We visited Boscastle and Tintagel on the way home and went to Camelford (the best chip shop on the planet!)for lunch.

Off for two Weeks

So doubt very much i will be able to blog. We are staying at praa sands in Cornwall.

Too Much!

To do :( and i really don't feel like doing anything. Even the nice stuff like getting ready for holiday. Not feeling sorry for myself and don't want any sympathy ( just a kick up the bum i suppose).
I can't think of anything i want to do at the mo, not even read my new Harry Potter or even scrap or shop or supplies!! Shock horror!!
I think watching the news last night was so very sad, seeing all those people flooded out of thier homes, can't stop thinking about it. :(

Dan finally got his Mo!! Wanted one for years LOL Actually it doesn't look as bad as I though it would. He has REALLY curly hair and it was quite long. Dex had his done too but i have to say it looks daft so he is going back this afternoon to have it all shaved off ( he is 48 for goodness sake!) It looked ok from behind ( don't we all!)LOL
Second is of my crocs...a lot brighter than I thought they would be!!! Celery :)
I will try to photograph all of them when Dans arrive ( black must be really popular!)
Last day of school yesterday....I can't believe how fast this year has gone.Just chilling today as I have a really busy week before we go off to Cornwall for two weeks ( Can't wait!!). It has been three years since we were last year and as it is getting so expensive, not sure when we can go again.
Got My Harry Potter book this morn but i am saving it for the holiday ( if I can manage it !!)

Only two more days

To work :) and then school hols!!! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy ( not that my children aren't work LOL) I am so looking forward to NOT getting up at 6.15 everyday.
I do have some homework from my course to do ( half way though ) but it doesn't have to be in till Sept.
Still lots of Dads things to sort out but we are off on holiday in at the end of next week so i need to get most done by then.
I have the latest ScrapaGoGo kit to play witrh and have hardly looked at it yet...what i have looked at is gorg!!
Ordered FIVE pairs of crocs for our holiday ( not all for me !!) ..a pair each..should arrive today.

Just a quickie

As i am supposed to be getting ready for work.
Thanks so much for your kind wishes re Dad. The funeral was Friday and now I just feel so incredibly sad and tired. End of term is Friday and i am so looking forward to it!
The LO is one i started a few weeks ago at Wyverstone and finally finished on Sunday. The pic reminds me of me and my sisters playing and the chant " I'm the king of the castle"....maybe i should have called it "Lady muck!"

Cropping Again

Went to Wyverstone today to crop. I didn't dare stay to long as i was away all last weekend.
heres a couple of Lo's and a card i Did at Debden and i finally scanned in Dex's fathers day card.( the "You Rock" one)
Got some more done today that just need tweaking.
Off to watch Casualty noe though ( i know i am sad LOL)

Half way though the week already!!

Where does the time go?
Had a wonderful weekend at Debden and Finally met some friends that i have known for a long time :) Great fun and didn't want to come home. Even got a little scrapping done. (very little)
A lot of my photos are a bit dark ( i did take them after a few pims at midnight LOL) The ones above were in the beautiful grounds of Debden House.
I am off to Wyverstone for MORE scrapping on Sat :)
I really need to catch up .........but hey ho, next week.

Too Busy

To Scrap! :(
Lots going on at work, exams, courses, day trips. Governor meetings at Dans school one each Wed for he next three weeks ( takes me over an hour just to get there )
Meg has been off school all week with a "tummy ache" hummmmmmmm. She was supposed to go to France for the day on Friday but i think she chickened out ...wouldn't mind if it wasn't for 1. The cost , doubt we shall see that again. and 2, all the organisation ( because of her diabetes and need for injections ) ohh well. Its a new week LOL.
Got up early this morn to make a couple of Fathers day cards. I will pinch Dex's off him later and scan it in. I used some of the "Elsie" range of papers.
Not sure what the plan is today..whatever Dex wants. I do need to do some photocopying.where can i do THAT on a Sunday!!! And i have a little bit of homework ( for tomorrow ..eeek) to do.
Off to Debden next weekend with Nets to meet some very MAD scrappers. Really excited now though i DO need to get a bit organised. And i still have to make a Tiara (?!) LOL
Ohh almost forgot...thought i'd let Darren Have a rest ( until his new album is out) and LOVE Michael Buble at the mo. His is the only version of "Me and Mrs Jones" I'll tolerate LOL ..That flipping song haunts me !!

Forgive me i have sinned..........

...................It has been a week since I last blogged ;)
Just been really busy at work. This week and next week loads of exams to cover at school ( and trips out ) So it has been madness really, hardly time to go to the loo let alone actually sit down and eat lunch. The great thing is I have no homework from my course this week as I am all caught up :)
Behavioural course to go on next week ( no Steph, NOT for my bad behaviour!) Looking forward to that as it is in a really posh hotel with lunch included :) AND it is free.
We had a new carer start this week ( so we can go out on a thurs night) , think they wore the last one out! It had been a few weeks since anyone had been, so it was looovley to go out to tea and get the shopping on Thursday, I had forgotten how nice to eat without having to get up or sort out a row LOL!
No scrapping done this week but, I have some inchies to do and the most Gorgeous kit from ScrapaGoGo to play with tomorrow. Dex has said he will take them to see Pirates..did I want to go?? I would love to see Johnny but i'll wait for the DVD and scrap instead :)
Finally went to the doc's about my face ( again no comments Steph!). I have Acne Rosasea. I remember learning all about it hundreds of years ago as a beauty therapist and feeling sorry for the poor old dears who suffered. Anyway he told me to go easy on the make up ( I told him that hell will freeze over before I stop wearing the camouflage stuff at school...I get enough stick from the kids as it is!! mostly for being short LOL) He gave me some antibiotics and a soap substitute.I DID say that if the skin on my face gets thicker or my nose change shape ( can happen in bad cases ) he is to book me in for surgery immediately!
Meg is off to France for he day on Friday, I have to go into her school in my lunch time to show them how to draw up an injection, leave my phone turned on all day ( at work) just incase. Drop her off at 5.30am and pick her up just before midnight, ohh and they can't find the medical insurance card that I sent in in Feb, could i get another ??? JOY!!

God i am tired!!

Some days do that don't they. Got up early (for me) to do my NVQ homework and finally finished a little while ago. BIL has finished in the kitchen for now. I still need to find a reasonably cheap splash back and some shelves and then of course paint it!
At least the weather has been glorious today. All the children have been out most of the day ( Megan is of course grounded already !)
Dex has been spoiling for an argument all day ( he does this every so often ) its wearing but i won't give in and join in.
I have done some scrapping this week. Used the great NFA charity kit from ScrapaGoGo and have loads left to do more. The flowers are paintshop pro brushes as i mirrored the fab stamp ( included in the kit) and although it looks fine IRL, is skwiffy when scanned in .

What a wet day!!

Been washing and cooking most of the day. The children made cupcakes so i photographed them and did this LO of Dan. I used this weeks pencil lines sketch. Also did four of the eight cards i need to do to catch up on Emily's challenge.

Half Term Yayyyyyyyyy

And i don't care that it is raining :) I am going to get all my paperwork done ( lots!) and then scrap the rest of the week.
Had a BRILL day yeserday at Wyverstone with Nets ( thanks for putting up with me Nets) and loads of friends, met some new friend too Some of the ScrapaGoGo DT that i hadn't met before too. Watch out for a photo later.
Best of all was a wonderful class with the one and only Shimelle . A book all about the reasons why we scrap..just got a little bit of journalling to do and i will show you.
Shimelle is lovely and it was great to be your doctor ( if you ever read this LOL)
Ness bought her shop and I couldn't resist some stamps ( and a few other bits ;))
I also got my hands on the ScrapaGoGo charity kit (image above)Great Value and a Brill cause too!
I have been playing with stamps and inks all day as i had forgotten that i was taking part in a 3 inch ,inchie swop due last week ....opps !! I HATE letting people down , so got them all done today. Then realised that i have a 4 inch friendship swop too ( not due till next month) so i got them done as well. Now i need a bath as i am covered in ink, glue and glitter.
Next is to catch up with the Emily Challenges , so watch this space :)

Happy Birthday Rosie

This little sweetie is two today.

At last glorious sunshine !! Of course it means watering the plants, ahh well.
Meg is off school with a sore throat and cough , its not so bad but messes up her blood sugars. Poor Dex won't get much sleep.
Really looking forward to Wyverstone on Saturday and i have a late pass :) :) mind you i am ( as usual) no where near ready. Need to print out my photos for the class but am at work and then out tonight ( boring meeting) and tomorrow.Need more time.

Twenty four years

Today is our anniversary. Unbelivable how much has happened in all those years. Lots of dreams shattered, lots of new ones. We were so young and optermistic ( maybe a little too nieave LOL). WE are still optermistic, still unrealistic dreams but still together and in Love and in these days , something to be treasured.
Doubt he will read but..Happy anniversary Hun, Love you :)

I'm cold.

Rained all day but i will not put the heating on. LOl
We have had a few more calls from Dan. He is doing fine and is at the beach at this very moment (brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr). He has been rock climbing, Canooning,archery and also had to build a shelter. I can't get over how deep his voice is on the phone.He is not my baby any more!!
Have ordered a new camera as my lovely Nikon has a fault and isn't working :( Not sure if it can be fixed so i may have to send it back. So hopefully you should see some better quality photos on here soon.I need to take lots for the class t Wyverstone in a few weeks, run by the FAB Shimmelle Can't wait!!
Off to have a hot bath ( to try to warm up) and then work on another LO for ScrapaGoGo

A Phone Call

From Dan tonight made Dex really happy. he has been worrying..i think he is a bit lost with out him and being surrounded by girls LOL. Dan and his roomies are already in trouble as they didn't go to sleep till 4am !! They were building a raft and then testing it out this afternoon..sounds like he is enjoying himself and will come home shattered.

Been putting pans etc back into the kitchen this morning and trying to get the dining room back. Managed to do this months scrap a gogo's kit yayyyyyyyy.

These are two layouts i did last week. One started at the Wyverstone crop with the gorg Rusty Pickle papers and transparency. It features my stunning Niece Rebecca. The other is of Dan a few years ago in Cornwall....unfortunately my scanner has cut off the bottom. I LOVE those stamps..saw them on a LO that my friend Janice had done and then went straight to ATDML to buy them :)

ohh and i got two of these yummy hydranger beads today as well :)

Well i don't feel like crying so that must be good LOL. Still waiting for some tilling ( is that how you spell it) to be done and some cupboards to be put up tomorrow..I could certainly designed the top cupboards better than they have. We have managed to find ONE cupboard that our plates will fit in, the others are all too small! Have no idea when the floor will be done..i suppose we shall have to drag the cooker and washing machine out again. Ohh the joys of living in a council house!
Dan is all packed now and all his "kit" at school. He goes in the morning...seems ok and not over excited which is good.
We are in the middle of yr 9 SATS at school at the mo and mock exams and then GCSE's. So work is manic as we are needed to read or scribe in some of them. So far i have only been a reader but need to brush up on my spelling in case i have to scribe ( i am allowed to ask the student how to spell words though)
We are making paper bag books ( thanks to a very dear friend donating the paper bags) at the school craft club on Fridays. Tomorrow is the first session :)
Enough drivel.

One of those days

The house is in such a mess ( a real mess) i don't know where anything is. Kitchen stuff everywhere. I was expecting this and know it will be over soon, but i HATE it!! I have a battle about the number of cupboards they are putting in too ( bit difficult to battle while i am at work too!) Ours is a council house with a very small kitchen. We have been waiting for two years for work to be done to try to rearrange things so we have more space. We have lots of lovely work benches now ..just no cupboards. We took five from the walls and they are putting TWO back..how stupid. There is space for at the very least two double cupboards...We have so many meds to store for the children , Megs diabetic stuff ( needles etc) could take up a cupboard on it's own...........to say i am fed up is mild.
Funny how one word ( in science today) can send you back years......17 years and the word ? platelets. I was just overwhelmed with sadness, wasn't expecting that and was glad when the lesson on the blood ended. 11am every Thursday, Cavell used to be taken to Ipswich hospital to have his platelet count taken while we would wait with our hearts in our mouths for the results.
Can't get to my stash for therapy, just as well i suppose as i have to pack for Dan's trip to Wales.

Will some one please kick me

I have to completely empty our kitchen by tomorrow night ( god know where to as we live in such a tiny house) and that includes the cooker and washing machine......................I haven't even started and i have to work tomorrow. I have too much to do , which makes me not want to do anything!!
Dex was away at the army navy game this weekend..had a great time and is on hol next week too . He will have to do some moving tomorrow.
Dan is off to Wales with the school on Friday but is unwell with a sore chest ATM :(
I am not going to be able to get anywhere near my scrapping stuff next week ( as this room will be full of kitchen stuff ..........hopefully it will all be done by the weekend.......fingers crossed.

Amazing how you can go though different moods in the day isn't it. I WAS happy and feeling pleased with myself as i have sorted out all the meds for my lot and dad till next month, taken apart dads divan bed and moved it ( as he is getting a hospital bed tomorrow) and generally everything is ok. I get home and have Dan's DSLA forms to renew :( ..I HATE doing those and its only Christmas since i did Megs. Dex says, lets go to the beach for tea ( so i cancel a meeting i am supposed to attend tonight) and think yes great. He and Dan have an argument and Dan has stormed off to his room ( can't break the door coz we now have new heavy ones!!) and thats that!!
Think of me tomorrow, i am being observed by my NVQ3 assessor in the afternoon. He has to write a report.

I really ought to add an 8. fact to yesterdays post ...especially after reading it back just now...just in case you hadn't noticed ( even with spell check) ..I can't spell..SHOCK LOL

Yesterday

Was Ericka' birthday . Happy Birthday Darling. My sis Steph's partner. Not fair , looks more stunning every year and i am younger ( not that you'd know!)

Not fair, children growing up too fast! Dan has gone off to youth club, thankfully , i know the person who runs it very well, so he should be ok.

He had another fit on Saturday morning but seems fine now. I have to document them in Case they become regular and he may have to have meds for them. The last one was in Nov so thats ok for now.

We are having our kitchen gutted next week . Will be really glads when it is done as it is so tiny! Trying to reorganise it so there is more space and work surfaces..The great news is that we should be able to even get a dish washer in there YAYYYYY!!

Lovley Day...

....in the end. Started off a bit mad, with Megan fussing about what to wear to go to a friends party. We had nearly all her clothes down all over the place grrrr . In the end she wore her first choice!! She is still out and its so peaceful here :)

Nats has been off shopping all day to and Dan has been in and out all day. I SHOULD have got my homework done but....instead watched three eposodes of Greys season three. Even better than the first two, if thats possible. I have been sitting at my PC watching with tears streaming down my face LOL good job no one came to the door!!

I have done this weeks pencil lines sketch . No 28.

I was going to try to do 6" x 12" but managed 8 x 12 instead. Decorated my bazzill bling with cherry arts rubber stamps.

What a day!!!!!!

I am shattered. After two weeks off work, it has been really hard to get back into the swing of things. I forgot how far I walked each day and how little I get to sit down. That i only get one coffee a day. Today we were three TA's down and my timetable got changed so many times. At one point, i was supposed to be looking after two different children ( in different parts of the school) and going to a meeting , all in my lunchtime...thankfully it got changed. Needles to say , my family are all walking on eggshells tonight.
I have loads of homework to do over the weekend too( for my NVQ course on Monday). So not much rest :(
Went to Dan's annual review yesterday, it was great, he had met all his targets ( BRILL!) and has had some new ones set. It is a lovely school, just wish it was nearer.
Absolutely no scrapping done since last week. Hopefully i will get some done at Wyverstone next week :) Really looking forward to going.

I have stopped scrapping for a little while to catch up on "other" work ..am almost there...sigh.

Should be another quiet day as my boys are off to football this afternoon ( i think for the last time this season).

Two more LO's

Been scrapping most of the day as the children have been out playing. I will need to catch up on other stuff tomorrow though. I have homework ( from my course ) to do ..about four hours worth. And two lessons to plan for when i get back to work next week.

The LO on the underneath is this weeks "speshal" dare: "Contrasts". Used the Craft robo to cut the web and skull ( both from the templates thread on UKs)

The one on the top is the UKs weekly challenge: Use decorative edges, toes and something foreign in the LO. It is Nets and Rose from the weekend.

Quiet day yesterday and a visit today

This is Dan Yesterday after going to work with Dex. It was SO quiet here LOL Not often you see him so still! he chose not to go with him last night and went to bed when i told him for the first time in ages with out trying to negotiate more time .

She is the only person allowed to call me Susie :).

Managed to photograph her when she was tired LOL ..Little minx is in to everything now. Nets and Raymond have their hands full now. Little poppet. My children loved seeing her today.

Right i am off to bed :)

It has been a lovely quiet day, Meg went to a friends house and isn't back till teatime. Nats has onl;y just got in and Dan has been asleep ( as he went to work with Dex last night) .

Anso set me a challenge ( as i wanted to scrap but couldn't decide what ) The challenge was :

MY baby

is 12 years old today :) ...........She is very excited and will probably celebrate mosy of the week. Her best friend was 12 a couple of days ago , so they are off out on Thursday night. She is going out for a meal on Sunday too. She had a handbag and a purse from me and money from her nanny so far. ( i have got her a dolly and necklace but it hasn't arrived yet)

Quieter than i thought it would be

so far anyway..School Hol that is :)

dan is out at a friends( just up the road) ..keeps popping in to ask if he can have a hampster..his friend has one to get rid of :( ....I really don't "Do" pets.

Nats is at her friends and staying for tea. They went to Diss yesterday on the bus and i counted the secs till they were back. It is only the second time that they have been together. They are hoping for sunshine tomorrow so they can go for a picnic in the park.

Meg is the only one home and watching Tv ( playing with Bratz ) :)

I couldn't resist the paper for the LO above..SO Megan!!LOL Its a bit noisey and seems to have scanned a bit darker ( probably all the 3D stuff)

Spring cleaning

The living room today. Still got to "do" the TV area...leaving that for today. Manage to get most of the room done though..bet the boys don't notice when they get back from football.

Wasn't able to go to my usual crop at Wyverstone today , so , I finished off a LO I started last month. There isn't much journalling on it as the photo says it all and always makes me smile.

Got some lovly stash from AMLT's to day and some yummy baby primas from Nets..Thanks Nets xxx

Holiday!!!!!

Yayyy!!! two weeks. I do have some work to do and absolutly LOADS of house work ....but i am not gonna think about that now.
Dex and Dan are off to football in the afternoon tomorrow. Nats is out from 10-3 at Sizewell ..some pamper day for people with disabilities. Meg MAY be going to a party but i don't know for sure till tomorrow..even so , it looks like a lovely quiet day....i shouldn't count my chickens LOL.

I was lucky enough to have two boxes of chocs! a candle and some fab earings :) Dex has taken Meg and Dan out for the day and it is lovely and quiet here. Nats has gone for a walk with her boyfriend so it is just me.

My Scrapagogo kit arrived this week ( for April) and I am planning to play tomorrow. Dex has offered to take Dan and Meg to the cinema.
Had LOADS of homework for my NVQ to do this week but got up 2 hours before the children this morning so I have almost done now.
Finished my mothers day workshop at the school this week ..the children were really pleased with their results. The art/textiles teacher is VERY interested in all the "stuff" I do. I have got her to make me an ACT this weekend!

My Job is safe :)
I know , i haven't blogged about it but we had a big meeting at school before half term to say that the school was in dire straights money wise and staff would have to go. The head came to our dept and told us all that no ones job was safe ( Had a really miserable half term).
Anyway , some of the teaching staff are moving on or retiring and one of us is able to do another job in the school ( so the SEN dept lose hours) but we don't actually lose anyone .
Just as well really as i have just started a social skills group, a craft club and started my NVQ3 course. I took a drop in money to do this job , but it is the most rewarding job i have ever done and love it .
Hope you are still awake LOL .....back to scrapping , i have a couple of cards to make ;)

It would be really easy to do Cav or Mum so i disided to do a What do you miss.

I miss the 70's as it was my teenage years. I really miss all that glitter..i even glittered my hair !! LOL The lip gloss that looked like you had smeared chip fat all over them , but smelt of mint; Aqua mander, Eau Jeune and just musk perfumes; Big wedge platform shoes, held on by tiny plaited straps; Flared trousers and tanktops; cheese cloth; The disco music, David Essex,Leo Sayer, Mud etc; ...the list is endless (not to mention innocence, no worries,no bills, great health)....sigh

I have been having a go at doing inchies ( as i am taking part in a swop) ..here are a few ..sorry about the photo , i MUST get my camera fixed as Nats is no good at close ups. Steph, they are what they say ...one inch square :)

I looked in my planner earlier and realised that i am out till Friday night :( ..Two evenings and one morning doing training ( for school) and the rest of the time at work. I am making the most of today to catch up and also do a bit of scrapping.
Poor Nats is still not able to get her shoe on , and so is still off Collage and not able to go out ....she is really fed up , especially as her foot doesn't hurt so much now , just still swollen and an awful colour.
My darling children have been awful all weekend with Megan taking the Gold for attitude..Grrrrrrrrrr. I don't know if it is High school, Hormones, her Diabetes or just that she is foul but she is really tring all of us at the mo.
Right off to do some work ;)
