Friday Smiles

Whats NOT to smile about - I am still on half term ( although it has gone too quickly!) ,
the sun is shining and its getting lighter.

It was hubby's birthday yesterday - this is one of the gifts I got for him - which of course he loved- I did tell him that it is racist especially as I am English ( only part Welsh from my grandad ).

Dan bought him these disgusting things.

And I made a chocolate cake - this is what it looked like BEFORE I hid it up! It was over 6 inches deep and in hindsight , I really aught to have leveled the bottom before I put ther buttercream on . When I went to get it ( hidden up in my craft room) , the Top has slid off onto my chair with my cardigan and jacket over the back- What a mess!! Cardi in washing machine - jacket damp cleaned ( wasn't too bad ) and cake reassembled. We couldnt light the candles as I still can't find the 5- hope no one eats it! Hubby was crying with laughter.

That certainly made me laugh! I have had cake mishaps before but this takes the biscuit! So funny! I'm glad your husband saw the funny side of it. I'm sure it tasted delish anyways.
Have a great week with many smiles,
Blessings,
Lisca

I am sure the cake tasted just grand, but thanks for sharing the mishap with us. It is good to know such things happen to other folk too! Happy Birthday to hubby. Mine roots for Ireland as he has connections there. I am not hugely bothered either way, but I prefer to watch rugby rather than football. Kate x
