Getting into the swing

Made more cards today :D. Not much else to do ! In between providing a catering service for the children that is.
Dex managed to get an appointment for his crumbled tooth today and has a temporary crown. He has two more appointments and another £350 to pay ( ouch!) It does look a lot better. Dentist didn't say why it had suddenly crumbled but i made Dex go get some calcium tabs.

Meg went out in the snow for about an hour. She came back soaking wet, had a bath and put her Pj's back on! ( first pic is of her setting off with two of her friends...the bin men never did turn up

Getting Colder

But no snow yet. There was a tiny flurry this morning but none settled. Hopefully if it is going to come down heavy, it is tonight as Dan's school is 35 miles away and i would rather he got stranded at home...would quite like an extra day or two off myself!

Yesterday at Wyverstone was lovely . Nets was with me and we sat with some lovely ladies and had a laugh. I made cards for Nets to sell for the Ella Grace appeal at work. Can't show you as i forgot to photograph them.

I had a phone call while we were there from Dex, he had been eating breakfast when his front tooth just crumbled away! He has always had no problems what so ever with his teeth , i don't think he has more than two fillings! He is not in pain but is off to the dentist tomorrow to get it fixed ( hopefully it won't cost too much...crossing everything!).

I am spending the day doing the washing and a bit more card making. The top card was done at Wyverstone during a "Make and Take" and using Stamping Up stamps, as Zoe is now a demonstrator.

Forgot!!

Until some kind blogger (Teena) wished me a happy blogoversary..I started this blog three years ago today!! Wow So much has happened in those years, Mind you my family is still as mad and demanding as ever! LOL
Hopefully, i haven't moaned too much. It is nice to be able to come here and get a few things off my chest though.
I thought i would start my fouth year with things to look forward to, as the country is quiet bleak atm , with the recession etc.

1. I am off scrapping tomorrow for the day with my fav scrap partner (Nets)

2. My cooker arrives on Thursday .Yessssssssssssssssssssss!! I shall be glad to put all the appliances away.

3. Weather says snow ( and lots of it ) on Monday...We might get a day off work :)

4. While trying not to order much "stuff", I have a book delivery soon from Amazon ( thanks to my sister Steph and Ericka for the b.day voucher) -Twilight and The reader :)

5. Dex and I are off for a night away on Friday - We haven't done that for over three years :)

6. Days are getting very slightly longer ( ever the optimist)

7. It is only two weeks to half term.

8. I get a new car (ish) in the spring.

9. It will soon be Spring!!!

10. Did i mention i should get my cooker next week??

I am also hoping to get more scrapping done and uploaded.

Rainy Sunday

Still trying to get my blog "right" not sure yet.

This simple card just uses my slice to make the vellum flowers, rubber stamps and LOADS of stickles glitter glue :D

Very excited about all the new cards coming soon for the slice at £30 ( ish) each..it will be a while before i have that many.

Have been taking photos today for the "Scrap your day" class but it is very dark and has rained all day.

Am using a slow cooker to cook a curry for tea tonight ..it smells nice..will let you know. I should have my new cooker in two weeks ..i shall be SO glad!

Looking forward to the new series of "Lost" tonight, I have watched from the start.

Januarys Scrapagogo Designs

Just two this month...it was busy :D Lovely bright kit for Jan.
I still have February's to share at a later date and they will be my last for Scrapgogo.
I am hoping to get lots of my other papers used up over the next few month , as i seem to have quite a few! ( understatement!)
As you can see from the previous post, Dex bought me an iPhone for my birthday. Of course after seeing it, he now wants one..they are just SO expensive!
Right off to get some washing done and then SCRAP! :D

Happy Birthday to me :D

And what a day to have a birthday on..the same day as the inauguration!!! Cool.
It was a normal(ish) day as i was at work. I did have a phone call and an invite out this morning from a friend asking me to skip school...I didn't do it when i was a student! LOL ( well much ;))
I have had some lovely gifts and we have having Chinese for tea ( partly due to no cooker!)
My new card for the slice arrived today so i am hoping to play later.
Have been playing around with the look of my blog..its not right yet ..so expect more changes soon.

Not a WONDEFUL week so far

Not dreadful though ..just frustrating! Cooker is NOT coming till 5th Feb !! That'll teach me to actually get ahead of myself! We have a microwave and i bought a deep fat fryer ( not keen on it i have to say ) We also have a small George Foreman grill but I am one of those people who like to SEE food cooking and stir..So i bought a portable induction hob and was going to make pasta on it tonight ...except i cannot get it to heat up....not sure what i am doing wrong..have read the manual over and over ..looks like i will have to send it back or get it replaced Grrr The joke is that i paid extra for a speedy delivery..typical.
In other news, Dex went to Wales to visit his mum who is 90 in March on Weds and is on his way back tonight.....trip cut short due to other family members being a pain...don't you LOVE families. Mine are FAB BTW ( as are MOST of Dex's!)
So a "bitty" week with not a lot done definitely no scrapping :(

I have finally started

On my kitchen!! We have lived here for YEARS and i have not decorated the kitchen ...what a slut! In my defence, the whole house desperately needed decorating when we first moved in. The walls were all a mess and garishly decorated. The kitchen is very small ( especially as there are five of us) and full to the brim of "stuff". So i am decorating in stages, so we can still use it and as i have to stop to go to work. The far wall needed re plastering but i have used this stuff from polycell that you smooth over and then sand..WHAT A MESS!! LOL anyway that bit is done and the cooker area..New cooker arriving tomorrow ( hopefully). I will do above the units and around the door tomorrow and that just leaves behind the fridge. BTW its Lemon tropics Colour (Above). I need to get something to hand from the ceiling for my pans to try and save as much space as possible. Then i am done.

I have done no scrapping this weekend :( AND i have the GORG scrapaGoGo kit for Feb to play with.....My last one with ScrapaGoGo. I have been with them for three years now and its time for me to say goodbye.

Yr 10 and 11 GCSE's tomorrow morning ..here we go again! So an early night.

A Mixed day

Do you ever get the feeling that someone is trying to tell you something ? LOL

Dan hardly slept all night ( back to school today) so was up really early. His taxi normally picks him up at 7.15am but it was a new driver and they got lost so were an hour late!

Dex and i went shopping and was going to get me an I phone on PAYG but too many bills needed to be paid and i thought that £350 + was just a little steep today. On the way to Norwich, there were really bad traffic delays due to a burst pipe. It took us an hour and a half to travel 3 miles!

We bought Meg some new trainers but one is too tight! That means she is now a size 6 ! I managed to buy some stuff for my kitchen walls to cover the bad paint work but am too tired to start tonight. Dex and I went to Captain America's for lunch..last time we went there, we had a phone call from Dan's primary school telling us to pick him up straight away...today Dex felt too hot and had to go wait outside while i finished my lunch. Nothing exciting in the sales either.

Nats was happy as i brought her some scrapping stash from Jerrold's.

We are both shattered so are having Chinese for tea. I promise to cook more and eat healthier when the new cooker comes ( hopefully next week).

I made a baby card for my niece( above) using hug wear and magnolia stamp ( from a swap last year). Sorry light is bad in here ATM.

Made yesterday , using the silce for the frame, heart and flower. I DO love the slice :)

Popped into work this morning for some behaviour management training. I am always optimistic and hope i will learn something i don't know...sigh ..ahh well its good to be reminded occasionally :).

It is confirmed that both Dan and Meg go back to school tomorrow, so i am quite excited about having a day out. I go back on Weds.

We had a small amount of snow over night but it is lovely and sunny now ( if a bit cold) .

Scrapping again

It feels like ages! I managed to catch up on my "save the day" pages:D And then did this for the UKS Challenge " Scrap Like you mean it" using your fav colours..Mine are pastels especially lemon at the moment. I did a prima class at ATDML retreat with Tracie and loved it so much , i have used some of the ideas here. I also used my FAB slice to make the flowers.....Check out the Why Slice? Web site for very exciting news..just after my birthday!! Cooooool eh?
Speaking of Birthdays, My Nephew, James,(top right) is 12 today :) :) Where has the time gone!

We have a new member of our family. Congratulation Donna and Mark on the birth of Caleb this week :)

Back to work tomorrow but just the morning for some in house training, then back properly on Weds.....Which is BRILLIANT coz, the children are back at school on Tuesday and Dex is off......Which means, that we have a whole day together ..That's not happened for years! We are off to get me an early Birthday present ;)

How Lazy!!

Have I been! Getting up late, doing nothing much and its wearing me out LOL!!
New Cooker coming on 12th ..ahh well..It gives me plenty of time to sort the kitchen out ..Not that i have started yet! Our Kitchen is REALLY small and the walls are awful, due to bad paintwork etc. It desperately needs doing and there's not that much wall to do ..Not sure how to decorate it as i want it to be sunny..probably a yellow colour..I can't afford to get it re plastered , so will probably either use lining paper or add something to the paint to add more texture..Any ideas?????
Am about to reclaim my scrapping space back as i haven't done anything over the holiday and i have a few Birthdays coming up, plus the 25th of Nov and Dec pages to do. Hopefully the Feb scrapaGoGo's kit will be arriving soon :D
Not been that impressed with the sales so far ( scrapbook) but i love the stuff at ATDML and they started their sale today :D ..Go Look

A belated Happy Christmas!!

Time just flew! Hope everyone had a wonderful time:)
Anyone who knows my family well, will KNOW that our Christmas will not have gone without the odd glitch LOL and of course that is true. SO RIP my cooker ..who died while cooking Christmas dinner!! ...You would think that sort of thing would only happen once in a lifetime wouldn't you ? ...No the exact same thing happened about 15 yrs ago and my darling mum cooked our dinner that time. This time I would like to thank my little sis ( with the BIG oven) xxxx.
New cooker ordered and hopefully arriving soon.
I am recovering from flu and am now starting to want to eat again..unfortunately wasn't off my food long enough to loose much weight though ;)
We had a wonderful evening yesterday playing games with little sis and family. I was both surprised at how good ( and competitive ) Meg was :).
No scrapping done at all ..as i had to tidy it all away ..i shall start to mess up the dinning room again soon though :)

Have just finished school for the holidays and am SO tired. It has been a week and a half ( thats an understatement) but I am looking forward to a bit of rest before I have to tidy away my craft room ( dining room) for Christmas.

I knew that this would happen, that thing would start to get manic. Too much to do and not enough time to do it! This is probably one of the last weekends before Christmas that i can scrap. You see i am using the dinning room table and will have to clear everything away ( and try to FIND the dinning room ) soon. I still have only made three Christmas cards, so need to get my act together!
Dan is playing football for his school tomorrow , but its in Lowestoft ( 30 + miles away!) So no lie in and an hour + trip :( ..Am i bad to hope its rained off? Yes!
Really sad to find that the pier is closing ..i LOVE that shop.
I am off to the clothes show with the school on Wednesday which will be nice in a mad, manic sort of way!
Right back to card making!

Well .....

Even after the weekend , i still feel shattered! Mind you, it was a really busy weekend. I spent a wonderful day at the Wyverstone Christmas Crop...I think it is the first time i have managed a Christmas one. We played games, had secret Santa and went out for a meal at a local pub. Brill..I am ashamed to say that i made ONE card!! And a bad one at that! LOL
Sunday i took the girls to the local garden center to get some Christmas cards and bits. we had lunch there too. Then we popped into Diss to get some food shopping ( although i slipped a couple of presents in my basket when they weren't looking) Because of my gadding about, i got very behind in the housework etc and the place STILL looks like a bomb has hit it.
Doesn't look like things will let up much this weekend as Dan has a football match on Sat and needs to be there by 10.30 ..in LOWESTOFT!! ( 35 miles away).
I have made a total of two Christmas cards so far, so need to get a move on.
