Easter Hols

and of course it rained all day ( well mostly) I turned the heating up again as well. Have spent a lot of the day scrapping with my April ScrapaGoGo kit...........Really lovely papers........ in between been running around after Megan. She has been ill for 4 days now with a cold and cough. she just lays on the sofa demanding stuff grrrrrr!!!!! She isn't eating much, which is playing havoc with her blood sugars and she has had a hypo today.

Poor Dex has to work all Easter so I am hoping it is not too cold in the early hours of the morning. Made Jamie's Hot cross buns and custard, as Dex brings so many buns home at Easter.

Only four days to work this week yayyyyyyyyyy ( sorry if youv'e got more)

Dan and Meg both look shattered and Meg says she feels ill and has a headache. I think they both need an early night but Meg is already trying to get out of going to school tomorrow!

The Lo's are from the Wyverstone crop two weeks ago and one I did of Dan last night at the very top. They have all been scanned and seem a bit washed out though.

Really looking forward to getting my April ScrapaGoGo kit later this week :) I shall be busy over Easter playing with it.

Two Lay outs in 1 Day !!

This is a piccy of the tree at the bottom of the playground at one of my old primary schools ( we moved about a bit and I went to 3). It was 1971 when i got my first pair of NHS specs..they looked very much like the ones on the LO but you wouldn't be able to find a photo of me in them!! I was really surprised that you could see the leaves on the tree from the ground..it is a really vivid memory and i am glad i have scrapped it. Shame there weren't any leaves on the tree when I finally went back to nosey last week.

Lovely weekend!

First I have to say that Dex is over the moon as Wales Won! :D..I am just glad that the screaming has stopped.

Yesterday Nets and I had to go and finally close dads bank accounts. It was done quite quickly and I will be able to finish sorting everything out soon and finally get a headstone up. We then popped to Stoke By Nayland and crashed the ATDML retreat. It was really difficult to leave ( especially as we went in Nov and everything felt so familiar) We were made so welcome and stayed to lunch, shopped and had LOADS of cuddles from some great friends. Just being there for an hour or two really inspired me.

Today Dex and Dan have gone to Ipswich to the cinema to see "The three Hundred" ( I hope that's right) and are bringing pizza back for tea ....yayyyyyy no cooking.

After two weeks , I have scrapped :D I bought the "Dares" book from a friend and love it , as it challenges you to scrap everyday moments. The Lo I did to day is about arguments...after almost 25 years we still argue at least 2 or 3 times a week and this week was no exception!

I was called out of a CDT (woodwork) lesson to the school reception on Friday morning. While running there , I had all sort of thoughts going though my mind , that one of the children was ill or hurt. When I got there, there was Dex in the main reception area , on his knees with flowers. I thought we had already made up from the row the night before! The office staff were really impressed and thought it was SO romantic.....he IS forgiven! LOL

visited Garboldisham on sunday. Took the girls to a craft fair where they spent much more han me!! The best bit for me was taking a peek at my old primary school...not seen it for 37 years lol

have to say that it doesn't look too much different. I took a photo of the tree ast the bottom of the playground as it hold so many memories. One was when i first got my glasses and realised that it was possible to see the leaves from the ground...that they weren't just a blur.

Happy Mothers Day

The weekend has gone far too quickly. I really need three days at the weekend , so I can catch up as well as do all the stuff ( well SOME) that I want to do. Nets and I went to wyverstone crop yesterday..that derinately went too quickly. I managed to get a couple of LO's done. I will upload later. We really enjoyed ourselves. I have made a couple of cards today , Nets inspired me yesterday as she made loads! I downloaded Dawn's hearts and flowers kit from the link on Nets site. It is so pretty. Blogger won't let me upload any images ATM.
I cut Nats hair today as it was getting long. Meg still wants me to streak hers , so when in Tesco's today, I bought a kit. Will photograph when ever I have managed to do it.

Almost March

Already!! I am not complaining as I love Spring and summer is even better. Its still a bit too cold for me though.

I am off to Wyverstone crop tommorrow and even better, Nets is coming too :) It's been ages since I last went.

Meg has been nagging me to cut her hair for a while now. She hates having it tied up for school and getting the tangles out every morning. So, after almost 20 yrs, i finally splashed out on a NEW pair of hairdressing scissors (don't faint Steph!). You can get proffessional ones online now :)

Anyway, here's the before and after photos. Got to do Nat's sometime over the weekend too.

What a looooooooong week!

Always is after a holiday. The children always seem noisier and ruder. I have been quite grumpy today at work. Sometimes i am sure my own children ( with all their problems) are better behaved!! Then i come home LOL
We have a meeting with the head and all other non teaching staff about the future of the school tomorrow. After last time, i am not looking forward to it as it will probably effect staffing and our jobs in some way. Keep everything crossed.

Two LO's Today

One for March's ScrapaGoGo DT (so i can't show you) and the one above. I used the background card from the Feb GoGO kit , it had little holes where the scallop edge is but I used the dew drops that Nets gave me. The papers are Daisy D and K and Co. Unfortunately I cut off the red velvet ribbon along the edge with the scanner. Ohhh and i pinched the photo of me from Clare Brown's blog. She took it at ATDML retreat in November and i quite like it.

Back to School tomorrow

And work for me. I don't mind ..apart from the layins to 8.30am LOL. Just got to iron the uniforms. The children are now a bit bored though which means that they are winding each other (and me) up.
I am still on the look out for another course, I am begginging to think that the only way I can boost my wages IS to train as a teacher...that would mean I would be 50 (at least) by the time I had finished. :( I really want to work with the behavioural team in the school.
To start with i am going to take my maths exam ( as I didn't get an o level at school ) Belive it or not , I DID get English even with my dreadful spelling.
BTW this is how I was taught to read and I think, why I am so bad at spelling.
Dan did really well yesterday at the swimming gala, coming in first and second in his races. Dex was really impressed with his swimming. Dan has been told that if he can brush up on his technique ( sorry spell checker is not working on blogger today !) he could make the school team.

Today Dex and Dan are off to a swimming gala in Lowestoft. Poor Dex has only had a few hours sleep! Dan in is two events, one in the afternoon and one early evening ( freestyle and backstroke). They won't be back till about 8pm tonight. Dan is really hyped up !!

The girls and I are off to find a prezzie for Dex birthday on Monday :)

Happy Valentines Day

:D No scrapping today..been lazy and not done much. Dex bought me a Card with "Soo" on it and a Rose and chocs and best of all John Barrowmans Bio.


I did do some cooking ..made flapjacks but I altered the recipe and although they taste yummy, bannanna,maple syrup and walnut flapjacks fall apart.


Also cooked steak and choc cake for tea.

Half term is going too fast!!!

Quick update

Dan has just walked in ...nice and early and its not dark. He didn't do any of the things i asked him not to ....shame i didn't say .."don't go to the shop and buy a big bag of choc eggs"! LOL
We had a chat and he says he understands why i do not want him going out of the town just yet....Love him!!
Now where is Megan???!! LOL

Off Out

Tonight for a nice quiet meal and then shopping. We have a carer coming ay 6pm till 9pm. The children has been fighting most of the day so i will not miss them!!

Dan is becoming a problem, there's not many peoplr for him to hang around with and he is already bored with playing football. He has a friend ( also with learning peoblems) who is 20 and of course is not really responsible. I don't like him being with Dan ( who is 14) but its not so bad if its a group of them playing football. Anyway, this "boy" calls for Dan this afternoon and they want to go swimming 5 miles away. As it was already 2pm, i said no it was too late. then they want to know if they can go to the boy's house to play with the playstation...so i say no ..THEN they want to go to a snooker club !! I feel awful saying no but it is not local and if there is a problem, it would be difficult for me to get there quickly. Dan has lots of "problems" and i feel safer if he is in Eye ( where we live). I know he just wants to be more independant but i just don't trust this boy. Anyway, he is out ( god knows where ..just hope he is near by and NOT gone off!!) Ohh the joys of teenage boys!

Made some Easter cards today with images from the "hug club" Sorry scans are a bit blurry and bright !

Cooking today

First i made some Chibatta rolls for lunch , followed by some plain cupcakes with a little butter icing ( made with natural icing sugar).

Just printing off some photos to scrap later.

All children out and Dex in bed ...nice and quiet here :D :D

Well half term anyway :)

Kids up late ( lots of fighting though ) and outside to play coz it is a lovely sunny day.

I have done very little, managed a LO of Meg today. New scanning softwear means i have to scan it in 4 times ...might go back to using the old soft wear ! LOL

Going to have to do some cooking tonight so that Dan doesn't eat everything in the house!! He has been out all day but popping back every so often for food...i don't know where he puts it all as he is like a stick insect.

Dex car had to have some work done on it today ...it really is on its last legs!! Mine is not much better.

Off to cook tea then...chicken curry tonight.

Beautiful Day

The sun is shining yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!
It makes SO much difference.
I can smell Dex cooking a late breakfast/brunch in the kitchen. The children are all busy and its peaceful ...doesn't get any better on a Sunday morning ( yes i know it won't last LOL!)
Gave up on looking for a new scanner and installed the multi function thingy thaty i bought when i got Dan's laptop last year. So i am very posh and have two printers attached to PC now. Have updated my scanning softwear ( to scan 12" x 12") and just need a bit of time to practice.
It is half term here, so i am hoping to do a bit of scrapping especially as i have no homework or lesson plans to do.
We have no plans, just rest this week. Dex was great and took Meg to the diabetic clinic last week so, i don't have loads of hosp appointments that i normally have when there is a break. We have increased her insulin again.
We watched Atonement on DVD last night..WOW what a sad film!
My little Sisters Birthday Today....don't think she reads this but HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREA!! anyway :D

Ohh Dear!

I think i have ruined my scanner as it is still scanning with thick stripes down it. I did manage to spill a glass of wine on it yesterday but thought i had cleaned and dried it all off :(

The list of "bits" i want for my PC is getting longer: New moniter ( mine weighs a tonne) , an external hard drive ( for photos, images etc) and now a scanner.

The LO above is of Megan's latest school photo and also has a letter included from school about her great report :) I used some of Kay Miller's school elements from her "school rules" digi kit.

Finished my very last piece of work for my course and got my folders ready to hand in tomorrow. Its finished!! Done.

Hopefully i shall have more scrapping time now :)

I don't know why the photo has scanned with lines down it ..i think it needs a clean!
Loved getting messy with paints for this.

Even Quicker tonight

As i watched Torchwood first. So didn't start scrapping till after 10. Even though its not a great LO , i am impressed as it normally takes me hours and hours...if i have the time DAYS to do a LO.

I love this photo of Meg just before she learned to walk. She was such a chubby baby coz she was breast fed (lots!) Thankfully once i finally stopped feeding her, she slimmed down quite a bit. She was a happy babe and so cuddly ...she is still happy ( when i buy her stuff!) and cuddly, when in the mood.

I am tired now and quite a bit grumpy as everyone has "needed" me tonight. They don't really need me ....just don't seem to like me doing my own thing! ...Hard Luck!!LOL

And i wanted an early night

I never seem to get there before 11 and i am not going to tonight either!! There just not enough day.

This has to be the quickest LO i have done ..took half an hour from not even knowing what photos to scrap. Not sure if i Even like it or not ..Just love those photos of Daniel though. He looks so little and sweet and CLEAN LOL! I suppose most 14 yr old's look like they have been dragged though a hedge instead of looking like he had just been scrubbed as in these.

I was doing homework club till after 5 and then tea. I was also a little side tracked as these yummy boxes arrived today. Dex not only saw the enormous box but opened it to see what i had bought and now knows how much i spent too!!

ahh well thank goodness it is pay day soon.

Back to Work

I missed work! I was surprised at how many children noticed that i had been away. I even got an "I missed you miss" from one of the year 9 boys i support LOL ..never thought i'd hear that!

I did my last piece of work for my NVQ3 today, got to hand in my folder next week and its all done. I need to find something else to do now LOL

Have done my Lo for today ..took ages for the glossy accents on the letters to dry. Nats a few years ago on a day trip top the beach.

I have given in and bought two sets of these boxes for all my alphabet chipboard and stickers etc..can't wait till they arrive. I had an Email this evening to say that had been dispatched..just hope Dex isn't about when they arrive...though he IS going to notice them!!

I'm Back

to feeling better :D At last!

Went out for a Christmas ( i know!) meal last night. I couldn't eat too much but it was great to catch up with friends i hadn't seen for ages. It was the play scheme committee and as i have now resigned, was presented with a bottle of wine. My children are all too old now to go and i have been helping out since Nats started school, so it was time to stop.

I have decided to start up loading to the big picture again ...I know i have missed lots and it finishes at the end of the month. So i give myself a personal challenge of doing 30 Lo's in a row..one a day. Here is No1. I found this photo on a disc and it made me laugh as they both look they have been "up to something!"...which they probably had!!

Spoke to Nets today and poor Rose had her feet badly burned in a hotel bath last night and has had two trips to hospital. Luckily only one has blistered ( must hurt like mad!!) . Hope she heals quickly. Reminds me of a holiday in Cornwall when Nats slammed Megs fingers in the bathroom door ( she was about the same age as Rose) and we had to quickly find the nearest hosp as we couldn't tell if any were broken.

My 300th post!

These are my January DT LO's for ScrapaGoGo.

This has been one of my most Favorite kits so far , i loved the supplies so much , that i went and bought replacement paper and embellishments so that i still have lots to use. I usually get a lot more than four Lo's in a kit anyway, so i really do have loads of these lovely papers to play with.

If you get the chance to buy the kit , go for it as i promise you will not be disappointed.

Right back to playing with February's kit :)

Will be back at work on Monday. I can't belive how much i have missed it!
Nets came over yesterday and brought "get well" food. We chatted and did some scrapping...it was lovely ..especially as there were no children around! I managed to get all my ATC's for this month done. I am hoping to do another LO for the ScrapaGoGo feb kit by the weekend and then i shall be upto date with everything.
I am really really dissapointed that i couldn't carry on with the big picture challenge BUT when i am feeling 100%, I shall challenge myself to 30 LO's over 30 days just to see if i can do it. I WAS using up old stash and lots of photos that i had iontended to scrap but not got round to.

Bum!!

Still feeling yuk and went to docs. He has put me off for another week but said it could be longer before i get some energy back! I hate not being at work, hate letting people and students down ...not good at sitting home doing nothing. I have new stash that i have barely looked at!!

I should shut up as some people have no choice with being ill and have to deal with a lot worse for a lot longer.

Fed up

But feeling slightly better today. Just weak and nauseous and a bit achy. I never used to get sick......not before i worked with bug ridden children!!LOL This is the third time i have had to take time off, before that was at least 8 years ago :(
Will make sure that i get a jab next year, have always turned it down as i thought i wouldn't get caught.
Have done nothing except sleep and watch TV ..i did managed to watch Torchwood ( that's the only thing i remember watching!)
Have a Fab DT kit to play with as soon as i feel better. FEB's ScrapaGoGo kit is lovely and i have used some already.
Then i shall go back to doing the big picture challenge. I won't catch up , not by the end of Jan anyway but i will challenge myself to to a total of 31 LO's ( other than my DT stuff, which i can't show you yet anyway)

I am going to have an early night

I hope!! I have managed to do tea ( put dishes in washer :)..they are squeaky clean!) and had a bath and got kids to bed , done my daily LO, Photocopied stuff for school tomorrow and packed for Dan. Yayyyyyyyyyyy and all by 10 (ish)

I took the photos with the purpose of scrapping them. We really LOVE the fish and chips at Camelford and always make sure we visit. It was on the way home from our hol this time as we were staying no where near.

Whoo hoo

We have a dishwasher :) I mentioned to a friend at work that i was going to get one but needed to save a bit, and she said she had one that's 3 years old in the garage. Getting it plumbed in tomorrow. That should save me a bit of time in the mornings as even after washing up the tea dishes, there's always a sink full in the morning.

Did 3 Lo's to day but 2 were for Feb's ScrapaGoGo's kit which is lovely.

The one above is the big picture one...i went a bit mad with the stickles glitter glue and i preferred it before........ahh well.

Busy Day

Completely reorganised our bedroom today and i have the bruises to prove it!!

Day 11 of Big Picture

This is becoming a bit of a habit...the last thing I do before I go to bed. I am much later tonight as i was sitting in front of the TV all night watching the Moving wallpaper and then Echo Beach and i love watching Johnathon Ross.

Today's LO is of Steph and Ericka's garden. They live in a flat in Croydon and LOVE their garden. It is really pretty in the summer.

Tired!!

This has felt like a VERY long week! and i am looking forward to a small lay in on Sat. Although, because Dan and Dex will be out for the day , i am going to take the opportunity to completely sort our bedroom out and that will take all day as i also need to put up some new curtain rails. I just never seem to get the time.

Anyway , today's effort for the big picture is very simple. To get the beautiful flourish on the left, I drew round some grunge board that i couldn't bring myself to use....well it only arrived in the post today..maybe next week ;)

Just a quickie today

Dan had a great time at school last night ( thank goodness!).

Today's LO is of Meg at Tintagel..we would be in BIG trouble if the diabetic nurse saw the size of that ice cream ( AND with Chocolate on!!!) Worth it for her face :)

Without Dan. He is staying at School tonight...it feels weird. He was really excited this morning , i just hope he sleeps. We are both looking forward to a lay in tomorrow, he doesn't have to get up till 8am and i can have half an hour later in bed.

The LO is of Meg and Eva watching TV in the summer...I took about 6 photos before they even realised that i was there..i can't remember what rubbish they were watching! Its for the big picture...i can't believe that after a stumbling start, i am keeping up and using up stash Yayyyyyyyyyyyy, That justifies buying more ;)

Day 7 ,LO 4 of big picture

Not my best layout but i have been interrupted so many times while doing it ! Not sure how long i can keep it up , doing one a day while at work. LOL
Today was OK , my course this morn , work this afternoon. Great to see my colleagues :) and the children. No changes to my timetable ...yet!
I am cold and tired and need an early (ish) night so i am off now otherwise I'll just watch rubbish on TV and snack.

Holidays are over

Back to school tomorrow...back to manic madness in the mornings. I have really enjoyed the relaxing mornings with no agenda over the last couple of weeks. Not looking forward to getting up at 6.30 so that Dan can get his taxi at 7.15, I then get Meg up ready for her taxi at 8.30, i go to my course for 9am and Nats is picked up at 9.30. Ohh and they need planners signed, dinner money (for one) packed lunches ( 3), sports and swimming kit, spare change, meds before they go etc etc. LOL I am sure it is similar in most houses.

I am happy that i have done all my homework ( at the last min!!) and will only have one Unit left to do after tomorrow ( two pieces of writing) Yayyyyyyyyyy Then i will finish my course...need to find something else to do!

Not doing so well on the Big Picture Layout a day..i have only managed three so far LOL

My Internet connection has been playing up a bit ..some sort of conflict with my old modem i think. Anyway Steph has talked me though it again! How many people do you know who you could phone up at 11.30pm to ask for Internet help!! She a bloody saint! LOVE you Steph!!

Dex and his new phone..finally arrived this morning..i think he likes it!

I have to be up at 6 (ish) as Dan is back at school tomorrow! I am doing some training at work from 10 to 12 as well.

I have been scrapping

Mostly for ScrapaGoGo..the Jan Kit is so Lush!! I have very little left now.

I joined the Big Picture free class/challenge to do a LO a day for a month . Well missed yesterday to start with LOL but managed one today. tried to photograph Dan while he was watching the footy this afternoon..he wasn't having it!! Couldn't use half the photos as he got really rude! Honestly ! the things we scrappers have to endure for our art.

Called the LO "No More" as that was what he was shouting at me ( amongst other stuff!)

Will upload my Christmas LO's tomorrow.
